Details of Our Stay
We visited Los Cabos in late February to early March, enjoying mild and comfortable weather. With daytime temperatures around 74°F (23°C) and evenings cooling down to 67°F (19°C), it was the ideal climate for outdoor adventures and poolside relaxation.
One thing to note: the water temperature was unusually low this year. While this made mornings and evenings a bit brisk, it created the perfect conditions for spotting gray whales right from the shore!

Los Cabos vs. San José del Cabo: What’s the Difference?
Los Cabos is made up of two main areas: Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, separated by about 30-45 minutes by car.
- Cabo San Lucas is the heart of the action—more touristy, with vibrant nightlife, luxury resorts, and famous attractions like El Arco and Lover’s Beach.
- San José del Cabo offers a more laid-back, authentic experience with charming streets, local art galleries, and farm-to-table dining.
Although I didn’t visit San José del Cabo on this trip, it’s a fantastic option if you’re looking for a quieter, more local experience, so it deserves some recommendations.
